TAKE SOME ROPE is a young atelier founded by textile artist Yulia Tishchenko.
"Each of my tapestry is a story woven into the fabric. This is my personal story, my emotional states, which make up my evolution. This is what motivates me to improve my skills every time, to find new means of expressing emotions through ordinary cords and threads that are combined with each other, weaving the fabric of my life. A special taste for me lately is the combination of two contrasting materials in one work — the artistic alliance of textiles with ceramics."
After participating in the first international design exhibition in Paris(Paris Design Week, 2022), Yulia was invited to participate in the Journée du Patrimoine Culturel at the Carrousel du Louvre by the tapestry gallery Galerie Jabert. Then - in 2023 participation in Salon Revelation and Maison et Objet (2023, 2024), where every time Yulia presented new works - new emotions embodied in modern tapestries using all existing textile techniques.
Yulia's works are held in private collections, including those of the Durjoy Foundation and Sheikh ABDULLA BIN MOHAMMED AL THANI.
The atelier also works on individual orders.

Tapestry TourbillonA whirlpool, a vortex – the movement of water spiraling toward the center. Water that, under certain circumstances, changes its direction, swirls, and, pulling everything along with it, converges toward the center.
It seems that this is the very point where the water tries to understand where and how to move next.
Take the time.
Find yourself.
Your center.
Your inner strength.
Allow yourself to be. Genuine. As you are.
Like a whirlpool, dive deep into yourself, attract what is yours, and then move forward.
Because only when you know who you are can you feel and understand what matters to you and what needs to be done next.
Otherwise, you will always feel a sense of uncertainty, unsure of where you’re going, who you’re with, and why.

Tapestry ChoiceWhat we do every day.  What directly impacts our future.  Choice.  Coffee or tea, right or left, move forward or stop, fight or surrender... This list is endless.  Some decisions are routine, some are life-changing, some happen in a single breath and bring relief and a sense of freedom, while others are unbearably difficult because all options are bad, and you have to choose the least bad among the terrible ones.  Such situations shake us, throw us off balance, and drag us to the bottom.  But there is only one thing we have no choice in - not choosing is not an option because even refusing to choose is a choice.  The key is to learn to accept each of our choices, not to blame ourselves, and to stop imagining the eternal "What if I had chosen differently?"In reality, each time we choose exactly what we are ready for at that particular moment.  We must learn to be grateful to ourselves for how we handle our lives, as we live them without rehearsals, in the eternal pursuit of balance.Ukraine, 2024230x190Ceramic by Sofia StankoPhotographer Nadia Berska

Tapestry The River in Me - a powerful and incessant energy, sometimes exhausted, silent and barely perceptible, is a river in us.A river which, depending on the times and circumstances, fills with water, and sometimes transforms into a small stream...But the river never disappears. It always finds its channel, it is fed by groundwater, imperceptibly filled with them in anticipation of saving rains. Sometimes it comes out of the banks and destroys the dams someone has built to contain it. Trusting your intuition, your inner river, finding your own path towards freedom, towards the sea, that's what this tapestry is about.Ukraine, 2024

Tapestry Leap of Faith - it's not about religion. It's about the courage to get rid of a support, no matter how reliable it seems,
and jump into the unknown, not even seeing what's there, but believing in yourself. This path is difficult, sometimes scary, because sometimes it seems that you are falling. But it is temporary, because you know that you are actually flying, because you are free.

Tapestry Depth of Acceptance - about accepting yourself.Every piece, every corner, even the darkest one that is painful to look at and frightening to even think about.Because if you can accept yourself, you can truly accept others. Without fear, without attempts to change. It's not an easy task, but it gives a sense of freedom and fullness, confidence, and peace.Ukraine, 2023240x190 Ceramic by Sofia StankoPhotographer Yaroslav Galyk
